7 DAY UGANDA GREAT APES TREKKING SAFARIDAY 1: ARRIVE IN KAMPALA.
Clients flying into Entebbe Airport early today we will pick up you with our private transfer to Kampala at Cassia Lodge where the rest of the day is at leisure. We stay at Cassia Lodge, which is beautifully situated in Kampala; and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure. You will meet your guide in Kampala Cassia Lodge in this evening for a pre-safari briefing and equipment check.

DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING.
After breakfast, proceed to the moist tropical rainforest for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. Uganda apes, the forest is known for harboring the largest number of primates. The search for chimpanzees may reward you with other primates such as the grey Mangabeys, pottos, Columbus monkeys, bush babies, baboons, and many more. Return to the lodge for your lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a walk to the Bigodi Wetland characterized with unique flora and fauna like sitatungas in this area.

DAY 3: GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE.
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter into the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a 1 hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food, and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or a whole day depending on the movement of these primates. The evening takes a walk around the neighboring communities and also get entertainment from the local performances, do shopping of crafts. After this experience, you will have an informative memorable experience in life.

DAY 4: VOLCANOES DES-NATIONAL PARK.
After early morning breakfast, you will enter the Gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans, the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. The tracking is a demanding but rewarding experience. Remember to carry with you enough water and the packed lunch, sunscreen, walkable shoes, rain gears, insect repellent, camera, and hut. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the Gorillas in their natural environments. After the activity, you will return back to the Cam. If you have the energy this afternoon, you will visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi, visit Ross Carr’s orphanage and Lake Kivu or climb the Visoke/Muhavura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey’s grave, or visit the local school, community projects or walk to Lake Bulera.

DAY 5: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK.
This morning, embark our safari van and depart to Bwindi Forest home to half population of Africa mountain gorillas. Drive through the southern Ishasha sector. En-route lunch by the Ishasha River and try to spot famed Ishasha tree-climbing lions. Birdlife and other primate life in Bwindi are quite superb, and there is an incredible variety of flora. Bwindi is the Bird watchers heaven! It holds 348 species of birds and supports 24 of 26 Albertine Rift Endemics that occur in Uganda; and seven red data book species. Once continuous with the forests of the Virunga Volcanoes (Dian Fossey’s stomping ground), Bwindi is now an ecological island, surrounded by cultivation on the rich volcanic soils.

DAY 6: JINJA WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP.
The most exciting rafting trip on earth, after early breakfast you shall be transferred to Bujagali falls in Jinja. The river is graded 4 to 5 and top quality safety gear and highly experienced guides run the biggest rapids possible.
The rafts explode through huge walls of white water and drift through the warm green pools in the equatorial sunshine.
Total rafting is for 25 km of the river including some of the best rapids in the world. Lunch and complimentary drinks are being offered. We shall be back in Kampala late evening for overnight.

DAY 7: DEPARTING DAY.
After breakfast take a short tour around the Kampala city and take some photos of interest. Thereafter we transfer you back to Kampala with lunch en-route to Entebbe international airport to board your home flight.
